UPDATE, SEPTEMBER 26: Due to the rain expected Friday, September 27, the TRC Mawi鈥檕mi, which was scheduled for the afternoon to mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, is postponed. The 大发快三彩票Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies (IKERAS) recently hosted its first-ever Indigenous traditional knowledge sharing and learning day, Mawi-lukutimk, which means 鈥済athering and working together.鈥� The event took place on September 3, two years after the Faculty of IKERAS began delivering UPEI鈥檚 mandated IKE 1040: Indigenous Teachings course and offering a Minor in Indigenous Studies. It is considered a historic milestone by everyone involved.

A team of researchers from across Canada, led by Dr. Aitazaz Farooque, professor and interim associate dean of the 大发快三彩票School of Climate Change and Adaptation, has received $6.93 million in federal funding to develop precision agriculture techniques to ensure food security and mitigate climate change.

The 大发快三彩票Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering (FSDE) congratulates Lilly O'Rielly for winning the prestigious C.D. Howe Scholarship Endowment Fund National Engineering Scholarship. She is one of two undergraduate engineering students in Canada to receive the renewable scholarship valued at $7,500 per year.
