UPEI鈥檚 Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS) is establishing a new fellowship program for incoming and existing graduate students in research thesis-based graduate programs.

鈥淐ompetitive financial support is an important factor in the recruitment and retention of graduate students at UPEI,鈥� said Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president, academic and research. 鈥淕raduate assistantships and supervisor grant/contract funding provide a common form of graduate student support. In addition, graduate fellowships have a significant role.鈥�

Beginning in the fall of 2025, the Rathlyn Foundation Entrance Scholarships for 大发快三彩票Medical Students will be granted to every UPEI-based medical student in their first year of study. These $2,000 individual scholarships will be funded in perpetuity by an overall gift of $1,000,000 from the Rathlyn Foundation.

Named in honour of UPEI鈥檚 former chancellor, the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship was made possible through a $2.25 million gift from the River Philip Foundation, a contribution of $372,000 from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) and a further $372,000 from Innovation PEI (IPEI), and a $100,000 donation from the Credit Unions of PEI.
