Pan-African flag flies over ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱduring Black History Month
The Pan-African flag was raised at ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱon Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at UPEI; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the .
Members of the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱand broader communities, including Dr. Wendy Rodgers, president and vice-chancellor of UPEI, attended the flag-raising. The flag will fly on the campus for the duration of Black History Month.

Each year at UPEI, approximately 150 residence students remain on campus during the break between first semester exams and early January when students return to classes for the second semester. This group of students is comprised of primarily international students who are unable to travel during the holidays to spend time with family or friends.
