Financial Fundamentals with Kimberly Norgaard: Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program workshop series

Join the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship for a workshop focused on financial fundamentals with Kimberly Norgaard, Senior Manager at MNP LLP. The workshop will take place at Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall on Monday, March 3, from 4:00 - 6:00 pm. This workshop will provide an introduction to completing the core financial proformas required of a business startup: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flows. Got a business idea you鈥檙e excited about? Join the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship for MiniPitch on Tuesday, February 25, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. It鈥檚 a great opportunity for students to sharpen their presentation skills and develop new ideas. Prepare a three-minute pitch, face a three-minute Q&A, and participate in a two-minute feedback session to discover what you did well, where you can improve, and what steps you should take next to move forward with your idea!

Poet and novelist John Steffler to give reading and workshop in late March

John Steffler, one of Canada鈥檚 most highly respected authors, will give a public reading of his poem, 鈥淭hat Night We Were Ravenous,鈥 in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building, UPEI, on Thursday, March 27, at 7:00 pm. The imaginative poem is about a near-fatal encounter with a moose on a Newfoundland highway at night. Admission is free.

Lunch and Learn: What are Executive Functions?

Accessibility Services invites colleagues to our Lunch and Learn session, 鈥淲hat are Executive Functions,鈥 in the Teaching and Learning Centre, Robertson Library Annex, room 230. Learn about executive functions, what they look like in action, and effective supports and strategies for instructors, staff and students. Specifically, the session will cover prioritizing and goal selection; planning and organizing; working memory; attention and flexibility; self-regulation; inhibition and initiation; and execution and goal attainment.

On January 6, 2025, the 大发快三彩票Health and Wellness Centre became the first stand-alone university health centre to earn full accreditation from Accreditation Canada. Achieving full accreditation allowed the centre to be surveyed against national standards and by its peers and ensures the Centre has the fundamentals of safety and quality in place.
