The Department of Philosophy at the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱ invites applications for the position of Sessional Instructor for the Winter Semester 2026. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

Please note: the course is scheduled to be taught in person.

PHIL 3840: RATIONALIST AND EMPIRICISTS

This course is an introduction to early modern philosophy through the study of the most important works of the rationalists (Descartes, Spinoza, and Leibniz) and the empiricists (Locke, Berkeley, and Hume).

Qualifications:

Successful applicants will have a minimum of a PhD in Philosophy and ideally possess prior experience in teaching epistemology.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱSessional Roster in the academic unit.
