Every week, ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱAthletics and Recreation recognizes two student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱPanther Athletes of the Week for November 27–December 3 are Alaere Peterside (track and field) and Noah Sedore (men’s hockey).

The ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱ hosted a group of presidents, provosts, directors, and heads of research from universities across Latin America and the Caribbean on November 22, 2023.

Members of the campus community joined Dr. Greg Keefe, UPEI’s interim president and vice-chancellor, and ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱstudent Antwaun Rolle to raise the Flag of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities at ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱin observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. 

Veterinary students from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱ (UPEI) won five awards at the 2023 American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) Animal Welfare Assessment Contest.

Twenty groups of fourth-year ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱnursing students in the Nursing and Population Health 4010 course have been working with agencies across PEI this semester to create innovative projects and programs to promote health and wellness. The students will present their work to their community agency partners and guests at a population health project showcase on December 5, 2023, from 2:00–4:00 pm in McMillan Hall in the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The Honourable Diane Griffin, alumna, honorary degree recipient, and retired senator, has been unanimously elected as the 10th Chancellor of the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱ for a four-year term. 

Dr. Greg Keefe, UPEI’s interim president and vice-chancellor, and ´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱstudent Antwaun Rolle invite members of the campus community to the first annual raising of the Flag of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 12:00 pm (noon) at the flag plaza near Kelley Memorial Building. 

´ó·¢¿ìÈý²ÊƱBoard of Governors Chair Shannon MacDonald provided an update to the campus community after chairing a historic meeting of the Board of Governors on November 28.
